online resource

Spindle-whorl, diam 3.2cm. Made of finely levigated gritless cream clay. Cf. Sibertswold grave 83, Kingston grave 299 etc. Concave surface, flat base. Much damage.SCH mistakenly assigned the accession number M 6288 to this object. The Gatty Slip for M 6268 indicates that this number belongs to the spindle whorl in Kingston Grave 262. – B.B.
