MS 723, folio 35: Kingston boxes. No. 205 \Iron hinges [image of lock slide plate] attached to wood\""Iron hinge (from Box), length 12cm. Consists of two subrectangular plates with buffered ends and two rivets, which hinged by means of the loop and the end of one, and the hammered over hook at the end of the other. Wood remains on back with grain running across width of plates.
