Pair of iron shears, usual type, length 23cm. Traces of leather on both surfaces, as if they were in a sheath. The 'keeper' mentioned by Brent is in fact a fragment of a bone comb - part of the backplate of a double-sided variety with 1 iron rivet visible, stuck to the blades by corrosion, by left side with knife, keys and weaving sword.Accession number KAS 806 assigned from Payne 1892a, 36. The accession number covers all shears. – B.B.
