Looped gold tremissis of Justin II (565-781). Weight 1.37 grammes. Italian.Obv. DNIVSTI NVSPPAVC. Bust right, wearing diadem, cuirass and paludamentum. Plain raised border.Rev. VICTORIAAVGVSTORVN. Victory advancing front, looking left, holding wreath in right hand, globus cruciger in left; in field right below hind a star. In exergus, CONOB. Similar border.Loop made of strip of corrugated gold soldered over border at front and back - flattened at back. Whole loop now squashed. Coin shows some wear on raised surfaces. Loop only the slightest wear. Coin a good orange gold. Loop visibly slightly paler.Measured density gm/cc: 18.0Exp. density: 18.9Surface analysis: AuAgCuCoin964-Loop75205
