Gold imitation of 4th century bronze coin. West German? Weight 1.327 grammes.Obv. ƆIIƨIP LIIIIVC. Crude bust left, wearing crested helmet and formalised degeneration of cloak and armour. Plain raised border.Rev. ƆITIXCIVƆXITIIC. 2 crude facing figures looking at each other; between them a square topped standard on which N, on beaded column between two X's; below И. Plain raised border.Coin made of visibly pale gold, showing the slightest wear on bottom edge and on bust. No loop originally, present plain loop is probably 19th century.Imitation of coin with two legionaries and standard, GLORIA EXERCITVS - Models for obv. and rev. taken from different coins.
