online resource

Ivory gaming piece re-used as pendant, diam. 2.4cm. Back flat, front shallow convex and polished. Perforated for suspension, and though no green stains in hole, faint green stains on top side where the drawing shows the whorled texture of the ivory. Faussett thought it agate, which suggests the green staining was stronger when excavated.Found near neck.
