Bronze catchplate of a casket, length 3.8cm. Flat piece of bronze with one end curved, having a rivet hole punched through (for bronze rivet now missing), then expanding to a triangular point, before which is a sub-rectangular aperture 9mm long, with many traces of iron about it. Faussett's illustration shows this plate with a staple through it, doubtless of iron.
