Bronze buckle and plate, length 1 5/8 inch, according to the Mayer card. 1 3/4 inch long and 1 inch broad according to Bryan Faussett, and also Henry G. Faussett. Oval buckle cast in one with openwork plate. Plate evidently broken across base because of the way the pattern goes. Probably originally 4 T-shaped perforation, stems inward (as on buckle from Kingston Down, grave 300). Remaining surfaces covered with ring-and-dot punch-work; loop has groups of transverse grooves (6 on Mayer card sketch as in H.G, Faussett's sketch in MS 723).Parallels: Uncleby, grave 31 (P.S.A. xxiv (1912), pl. opp. p. 152.) Rich group.
