Bronze buckle and plate, total length 6.5cm. Rather coarse oval loop cast in one with flat bronze plate. Tongue hinges through hole at top centre of plate, and has slight moulding on back with diagonal grooved cross and 3 transverse grooves above. Plate long rectangular, with openwork T-shaped panels opposed in 3 pairs tails inwards: end of plate has schematic boar-heads in pair as on buckle from grave 131. Entire surface of plate and broad-heads covered with punched ring-and-dot decoration. Three rivets with rounded heads, 2 at upper corners and one at centre foot, with shanks projecting behind for 2mm max. before being tapped over to grip leather of belt, which was probably coloured or gilded to shine through the holes. Plate snapped and repaired by piece of perspex.A coarser version of the buckle from grave 131, and similar to that from Kingston Down grave 300, though not so fine.
