Chalk? bead

online resource
posted on 2021-10-27, 19:22 authored by Helena HamerowHelena Hamerow
Large discoidal bead, apparently of puddled chalk, diam. 3.1cm, thickness 1cm, with large central hole. It is very light in weight, and where broken in one place the interior shows crumbly textured. The surface is smooth, though porous, and is stained brown on one side.
