Middle-sized tumulus. The bones were very perfect; no appearance of a coffin. Near the left hip was a large brass buckle and a kind of ornament for the belt[1], placed, as I think, opposite to the buckle, as I have represented it; and the blade of a knife. Grave not two feet deep.[1]The latter is merely a portion of another buckle, as will be seen by the [illustration below]; the studs which, from a sketch in Mr. Faussett's manuscript, ornamented the buckles, are now wanting.- C.R.S.
