Fragments of two bone combs: 2 pieces of one, a double sided comb with part of backplate intact; 3 pieces of another with all of backplate missing, but from iron rivets evident of same type. The second one has longer teeth, and thinner plate. The catalogue number KAS 472 is used for a number of bone combs (Payne 1892b, 30). See bone combs from Sarre grave 4, 68, 72-74, 174. Same figure appears in original excavation report (Brent 1866, 168). – D.H.
